Flagcraft FAQs

  1. What are your store hours?

We are open Monday – Friday 8:30a.m. – 5:00pm.  We are closed the week between Christmas and New Years as well as most Federal holidays.

 

  1. What size flag should I buy?

Flagpoles under 20’ we recommend a 3’x5’ flag.

Flagpoles between 20’ – 25’ we recommend a 4’x6’ flag.

Flagpoles 30’ we recommend a 5’x8’ flag.

Flagpoles 35’ we recommend a 6’x10’ flag.

Flagpoles between 40’ - 45’ we recommend 8’x12’ flag.

Flagpoles 50’ we recommend 10’x15’ flag.

 

You can shift these sizes up or down based on personal preference.  There is no code of ethics to the size on the pole as long as the flag never touches the ground.

 

  1. But can I fly other flags on the same flagpole?

 Yes, however make sure your USA flag flies above all other flags and is equivalent or larger in size than flags flown below.

 

  1. How can I dispose of my flag properly?

We offer disposal services!  Simply drop off your tattered and damaged flag to our retail location 1020 North Dixie Highway, Boca Raton, FL 33432 during open business hours.  If you are unable to drop by during store hours, please leave the flag in the mailbox located in our parking lot behind the building.  As well, feel free to mail in the damaged flag to the above address including a note ordering us to dispose.

 

  1. Do you install Flagpoles?

Yes.  Location range includes Dade County, Broward County, Palm Beach County, and Martin County.  

 

  1. How much does it cost to install a flagpole?

The cost is dependent on the size and type of flagpole as well as location.  We do install flagpoles outside of the tri-county area however, cost increases with distance.  For a residential flagpole between 15’ – 20’ located in the tri-county area the cost is between $200-$350.

 

  1. Do you sell mailboxes?

Yes.

 

  1. Do you have mailboxes to sell in your showroom?

Yes.  We carry many different mailboxes in stock but there are endless combinations for you to choose from and customize.

 

  1. How much does a mailbox cost?

Our mailboxes range from $175 - $650.  Installation is additional.

 

  1. Do you repair mailboxes?

We do!  We offer a welding service throughout Palm Beach and Broward county.   Cost is $175 - $195 depending on location.  We also replace spring hinges and mailbox flags.

 

  1. Do you install mailboxes?

Yes.  Within the tri-county area.

 

  1. Where are you located?

We are in Boca Raton, on Dixie Highway, one block south of Glades Rd.  1020 North Dixie Highway, Boca Raton, FL 33432.

 

  1. Where can I park?

We have a parking lot in the rear of our building.

 

  1. Do you have lights for a flagpole?

Yes!  We sell solar lights for large and small flagpoles.  We do not complete any electrical work in conjunction with our flagpole installations.

 

  1. Do you make custom flags?

Yes!  All types, makes, and models! Simply send us your artwork (ideally in an EPS file) and we’ll send over a proof for your approval.

 

  1. What’s your turn around time for custom flags?

Lead time ranges for different sizes, quantity and material flags.  You can expect roughly 1-2 weeks. In a time pinch? Some styles and banners can be completed in as few as 3 business days. 

 

  1. Do you accept returns?

We do, with restrictions.  We openly accept returns with proof of purchase and no signs of use/wear/tear.  We do not accept returns on any custom products.  If there is premature fading or tearing, we will work with our customers to come up with a replacement plan.  We do not refund the cost of shipping.

 

  1. What is the life expectancy of a flag?

There are many factors that can effect the life of a flag. Timeline can vary anywhere from as short as 4-6 months during windy and storm seasons up to closer to 12 months. Warranty is on premature fading. 

 

  1. I don’t see the flag I want on your website? Can you get the flag I need?

99% Yes!  We have relationships with all the major flag distributors as well as access to equipment and an in-store seamstress to get your needs met quickly!  Turn around time to order in any standard flag is roughly 3-5 business days.

 

  1. Why are people lowering their flag halfway down and should I be doing that?

During times of crisis the president or local/state officials can order flags to be flown at half-mast.  We encourage all Patriots to lower the flag during these times out of respect for our nation.  We send out an e-mail blast as soon as we receive notice.  If you’d like to receive these notifications, please subscribe to our mailing list.
